THE MOST EFFICIENT AIRPORT IN EUROPE, COPENHAGEN AIRPORT (CPH), INTRODUCES TAGOMAT® AS PART OF THEIR SELF SERVICE SOLUTION

30 July 2019
We will supply our state of the art self-tagging solution, Tagomat®, to Copenhagen Airport (CPH). “We are proud and humble to be selected for this prestigious project and we are looking forward to start working together with CPH”, says Michail Bikoulis CTO at BBC.

Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup (IATACPH) is the main international airport serving  CopenhagenDenmark, and a large part of southern Sweden. It is the largest airport in the Nordic countries with 30 million passengers in 2018 and one of the oldest international airports in Europe. It is the third-busiest airport in Northern Europe, and the busiest for international travel in Scandinavia.

The airport is the main hub out of three used by Scandinavian Airlines and is also an operating base for  Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia and Norwegian Air Shuttle. Copenhagen Airport handles around 60 scheduled airlines, and has a maximum operation capability of 83 operations/hour, and a total of 108 jet bridges and remote parking stands. Unlike other Scandinavian airports, most of the airport's passengers are international.

Copenhagen airport is once again voted the most efficient airport in Europe:

The leading academic company in the aviation sector, the independent Air Transport Research Society (ATRS), heads the selection process in which Copenhagen Airport won the title for airports with more than 25 to 40 million passengers. Being awarded the title of Europe’s most efficient airport 14 times in 16 years, is not something that just happens. It requires focus and innovation.

“Everyone working at the Airport knows that travellers are our guests. And our chief task is to make their visit as enjoyable as possible. We have a high satisfaction rate among our guests. They particularly appreciate our ability to lead the way when it comes to implementing digital self-service solutions”, says Kristian Durhuus.

Being a leader in an area requires constant innovation and a focus on future solutions.
