A new era has begun!

Finally, a new era has begun in the handling of carry-on baggage.  The new ClearScan from L3 is the first machine to achieve C3 approval from ECAC.  This means less queuing and a hassle-free travel experience for all passengers with carry-on baggage.  

Using the new technology, ClearScan from L3, will lead to a higher security level and a safer journey for the passengers.  The passengers will go through the security check-point with less hassle as they can keep liquids and laptop/electronics in the carry-on baggage.  For airports this is great news as they can utilize their existing security area and increase the capacity without the need for terminal extensions. 

The ClearScan machine has proven its flexibility during operational trials and has been integrated to the leading suppliers of tray return systems for security checkpoints.  To increase the utilization and flexible use of screening personnel ClearScan supports remote screening as a standard feature.

Schiphol Airport Amsterdam was the first airport in Europe that installed and tested the new state of the art x-ray machine ClearScan. The new technology allows laptops, tablets and liquids to stay in the carry-on baggage during inspection.
