TAGOMAT® AND BAGOMAT® UNITS READY FOR OPERATION AT BUDAPEST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
16 October 2020
Tagomat® and Bagomat® units are installed and ready for use in both terminal 2A and 2B at Budapest Airport. To adapt to the new everyday life, due to the Covid-19 situation, we had to rethink how to perform installation and commissioning.
With help from Budapest Airport and a local service provider, we managed to install and commission the Bagomat® and Tagomat® units remotely. The remote commissioning was done using BBC’s tool MyAirport®.
To work together with the people from Budapest Airport has been a pleasure, says Tomas Nordlander Project Manager at BBC.
Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) , the gateway to Hungary, is the international airport serving the Hungarian capital city of Budapest.
Budapest Airport is the best airport in the region, as recognized by Skytrax in 7 consecutive years from 2014 to 2020, based on passenger ratings. Budapest Airport has become the leading airport in the region in terms of passenger growth, and together with its airline partners, is a key contributor to the development of tourism in Hungary and Budapest. The terminals of the airport are home to 49 airlines, which transported 16.2 million passengers to 153 destinations in 49 countries in 2019 (an 8.8% growth rate in 2019 vs. 2018). Budapest Airport handled 135 521 tons of cargo in 2019.
If you travel from BUD in the near future you can experience the seamless travel using the contactless Tagomat® and the Bagomat® units delivered by BBC.
