BBC has put into live operation one of its Bagomat® units at Svalbard Airport Longyear
BBC’s family of self service bagdrop units, the Bagomat®, is continuing to grow and the last member is the units at Svalbard Airport Longyear. The units went into live operation at the end of April and is helping passengers to achieve seamless travel from the northernmost airport in the world.
Svalbard Airport, Longyear (IATA: LYR) is the main airport serving Svalbard in Norway. It is located 3 km northwest of Longyearbyen, and is the northernmost airport in the world with scheduled public flights. Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and Norwegian airline have flights from Oslo and Tromsø to Svalbard Airport Longyear.
